The roots of Česká spořitelna reach back to 1825, when the Spořitelna česká, the oldest predecessor of Česká spořitelna, began operating. This tradition of a Czech savings institution was continued in 1992 by Česká spořitelna as a joint-stock company. Ceskoslovenska obchodni banka, a. s. is a universal bank operating in the Czech Republic. CSOB was established by the state in 1964 as a bank to provide foreign trade financing and convertible currency operations. It was privatized in June 1999 when KBC Bank, a member of Belgium’s KBC Group, became the majority owner. CSOB took over Investicní a Poštovní banka, a.s. in June 2000. CSOB had been active in both Czech and Slovak markets until 2007; the Slovak branch was separated as of 1 January 2008.

The Zoological Garden of Brno City (Brno Zoo) was founded in 1950 and it was opened to the public on 30th of August 1953. It is a contributory organization of The Statutory City of Brno - the second largest city of Czech Republic. The zoo is situated in attractive area of 65 hectares of "Mniší hora" (Monk Hill) forested slopes. In the city centre you can found The Permanent Aquarium Exhibition of freshwater and marine fauna, which also belongs to the Brno Zoo.

Tradice současného Pavilonu Anthropos má své kořeny v období první Československé republiky. Tehdy se díky mimořádnému úsilí předního českého badatele prof. Karla Absolona podařilo ve specielním pavilonu "Člověk a jeho rod" na dnešním výstavišti soustředit v rámci výstavy soudobé kultury v roce 1928 nebývalé množství nálezů z nejrannějších období lidských dějin.
